Former contributing editor to Granta Magazine and Books, Will Hobson is a writer and translator from French and German. His translations include the forthcoming Marilyn's Last Sessions by Michel Schneider (Canongate), about Marilyn Monroe and her last analyst, and Being Arab by Samir Kassir (Verso), which won the Index on Censorship Freedom of Expression Award 2007. His latest project for Redstone Press, The Household Box, is about home life. For Salon he will be presenting the Redstone Inkblot Test, which is a set of 12 beautiful images to ponder and reflect upon, from the makers of Psychogames. Unlike the more famous Rorschach Test, (which in other ways it rather closely resembles), the Redstone Inkblot Test is not designed to reveal or diagnose abnormalities (although that isn’t to say that it won’t). Rather, it is an enjoyable way to think about what we make of what we see, and what that might mean about our inner selves.
