Dr Morgaine Gaye is a food futurologist who runs a consultancy and trend forecasting bureau. Her work researches future global trends, ideas, products and media; with food as the main focus. She communicates this insight through media, public and academic lectures and she consults globally to international food business and advertising agencies. 

 

She works on new product development and ideation based on future trend forecasting.

Working internationally, previous projects were based in Bulgaria, Latvia, USA, Namibia, Australia and Brazil. Her clients include Pepsi, Tropicana, General Mills, JWT, GSK, Arcelik, Unilever, Scottish Courage Breweries, Kellogg’s, Mondelez International, Cadbury. Morgaine recently designed and curated the Gastrodome for Nesta as part of Future Fest, which addressed the future as an experience and as a series of lectures given by prominent names in science, art, music and thinking.

 

Morgaine is a frequent voice on BBC news, Sky news, BBC radio 4, NPR and Australian Breakfast TV Channel 9. She has co-hosted a Ch4 Series ‘Home of the Future’ and is currently developing another series. She often quoted in newspapers and popular magazines (both digital and print). Her own articles have been printed in magazines such as The Grocer, ViewPoint, YCN and Stylus.

 

Morgaine is a visiting lecturer (MA/BA) at Central St. Martins, Nottingham Trent University, Sheffield University and LSE. Her public lectures are most frequently held at the School of Life, The Experimental Food Society, V&A and ICA. She has written 3 university undergraduate degrees and is currently consulting to the Marangoni Institute, Milan on their summer curriculum. She is a member of Seaweed Health Foundation, UK and a faculty member The School of Life and Experimental Food Society, London
